The Role

The Supply Chain Planning Lead will be responsible for supporting various aspects of Supply Chain, including but not limited to the S&OP process, digital tools, and strategic sourcing. This role is hybrid, with 2 days/week on-site expected. This individual will report directly to the Senior Manager of Supply Chain.

We are seeking a highly motivated, analytic individual who has the ability to dive deep into problems with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate has the ability to take on a variety of responsibilities to drive effective cost management across multiple facets of the Cometeer Supply Chain.

The successful candidate must have an understanding of manufacturing operations and the challenges faced by the supply chain in this industry, with proven results in demand/supply planning. They will have a demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.

    What you’ll do:

    • Lead the S&OP process for operations
      • Take the monthly/quarterly demand and develop a production, purchase, and logistics plan to share with the Manufacturing and Supply Chain teams for effective planning
      • Drive alignment across all levels of the organization, including cross functional teams & C-suite execs, to clearly execute and deliver S&OP meeting
      • Manage long range capacity planning with manufacturing team
      • Partner with growth teams and finance on demand plan forecasting
      • Identify and drive inventory savings opportunities throughout the supply chain
      • Maintain month-end close process with Finance by providing inventory and relevant data points across the network
    • Continuous Improvement
      • Help make improvements to supply chain and operations tools like cloud-based database systems or other future ERP/WMS systems
    • Procurement
      • Manage a portfolio of vendors (including coffee roasters) or spend (e.g., indirect Factory costs) to help ensure consistent procurement processes, competitive pricing, and high-quality vendors

    What we’re looking for:

    • Prior experience in a manufacturing planning, inventory control function, demand forecasting function, or similar
    • Experience with ERP systems, ERP SaaS, or MRP software
    • Advanced verbal communication to communicate effectively using tailored messaging and/or storytelling, are able to speak the language of the business, and are skilled to drive and manage change across the organization
    • Strong written skills to prepare policies, procedures, and reports and be able to convey complex information in a simple, clear, and concise manner
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Proficient with Google Workplace or related software
    • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s Operations technology tools
    • Willingness to pivot priorities and take on additional responsibilities as required

    Requirements:

    • 3-5 years of experience working as an industrial engineering, supply chain professional, or equivalent professional experience
    • Ability to work a minimum of 2x/week in person in Gloucester, MA.
