The Role
The Senior HR Generalist will play a crucial role in supporting various HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can handle multiple responsibilities with a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality. This role will report directly to the Director of Network & People Operations.
What you’ll do
- Talent Acquisition: Assist in the recruitment process including job postings, resume screening, interview scheduling, and onboarding new hires. Ensure a positive and efficient onboarding experience.
- Employee Relations: Provide support to employees and managers on HR policies and procedures. Address and resolve employee concerns and conflicts with sensitivity and discretion.
- Benefits Administration: Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs including health insurance, retirement plans, and other company benefits. Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits and resolve any issues. Ensure accurate integrations between internal HRIS and external systems.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Implement and enforce HR policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Maintain accurate and confidential employee records. Update and manage HRIS systems to ensure data integrity. Stay current with employment laws and regulations. Assist with internal audits and compliance reporting.
- Learning & Development: Support the planning and coordination of training programs and development initiatives. Assist in identifying employee training needs and facilitate training sessions as needed. Support performance management processes, including performance reviews, goal setting, and feedback. Assist in developing strategies for employee development and improvement.
- Additional focus: Serve as the primary event planner for Corporate level events. Execute limited time or one-off projects to support daily business operations or strategic initiatives.
What we’re looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 3 - 5 years of experience in an HR role with a focus on generalist functions
- Strong understanding of HR practices, employment laws, and regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
- Proficiency and adaptability with HRIS, ATS, and LMS systems and Google Suite
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Proactive attitude with a problem-solving mindset
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work a minimum of 3 days weekly on site at our Gloucester facility
- Experience in manufacturing preferred
